LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MI — Media entrepreneur Joe Malik III is marking 30+ years in the media industry, celebrating a journey that began with a single local monthly newspaper in Livingston County, Michigan, and evolved into a globally licensed broadcast network.

In 1988, Malik launched his first print publication, The Uptown Review. Following its one-year anniversary, the monthly paper transitioned into a weekly publication and was renamed the Livingston Chronicle. The outlet quickly established its authority in the region, earning official recognition as the legal paper of record for Livingston County to publish legal notices.
Anticipating the shift toward digital media, Malik expanded into the internet space in 1996 with the launch of The Times Chronicle Network News. By 2000, the digital platform evolved into The Global 1 Network. Five years later, in 2005, the enterprise officially incorporated in Delaware as G1NBC (Global 1 Network Broadcasting Company).
Today, G1NBC operates as an international media entity, actively licensing its broadcast network across the United States and around the world.
”Starting with one small newspaper in Livingston County and scaling it into an international broadcast network over three + decades has been an incredible journey,” said Joe Malik III. “As we look ahead to the next 30 years, our focus remains on expanding our reach, supporting our regional partners, and continuing to innovate in global broadcasting.”
