BRIGHTON, MI \u2013 Local filmmaker Joseph Malik is looking for volunteers to participate in the upcoming community film, “Free Jerry – Justice Denied.” The film, a powerful look at a man’s fight for justice after a disputed conviction, is seeking people to act as protesters for a pivotal scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The filming will take place on Saturday, September 13th, in Brighton, Michigan.
Participants will be asked to stand in front of a broadcast station, holding protest signs that read “Free Jerry.” The production team will provide the signs, but participants are also welcome to create their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


“We will supply the signs, or if you would like to have your own design, you can,” said Joseph Malik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Film:
“Free Jerry – Justice Denied” is Joseph Malik’s sixth community film project, with a focus on telling stories and helping people in Livingston County. The film explores a case where a man was convicted based on a false confession, with key evidence withheld from the court.
