BRIGHTON, MI – Joseph Malik and Daletec Studios are seeking community participants for the upcoming docudrama, ‘Free Jerry – Justice Denied.’ This community project, which focuses on a case that has spanned more than 15 years, aims to bring light to evidence that was not included in the original court proceedings.
Due to unforeseen circumstances and a creative overhaul, the film’s concept has been significantly revised. The original plan to film at the Old Livingston County Courthouse was denied by the sitting judge, who cited concerns about potentially tainting the jury pool for a new trial.
The new concept for the film will feature 12 community members in a recreated newsroom setting. These individuals will be presented with and discuss the case’s evidence on camera. The goal is to allow the audience to consider all available information before forming their own conclusion about the case.
