LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MI – The production team behind the upcoming community film, “Free Jerry – Justice Denied,” is pleased to announce a change in its production plan and venue. Due to a scheduling conflict related to planned renovations at the old historical courthouse in Livingston County, the film’s format has been reimagined as a mock trial.
The new production will feature a law firm as they prepare for a courtroom setting, including the introduction of evidence and practicing dialogue between the prosecutor and defense attorney. The story will continue to be based on the core evidence and dialogue from the case.
The filmmakers are now seeking participants to serve as extras for the roles of lawyers. Should there be a strong community response, they plan to create a mock courtroom with a live audience, offering community members the unique opportunity to view the filming and be a part of the movie.
Filming for the mock trial will take place on a Saturday in September, with a specific date to be announced soon. The shoot is scheduled to begin at noon.
Community members interested in participating are encouraged to respond via email to express their interest. The production team thanks the community for their continued support of local films and their interest in this project.
