AVA, looking a bit more seasoned and confident, is chatting with MARCO near the kitchen pass. LEO is at the bar, laughing with ISABELLA as she expertly mixes a cocktail.
A new addition catches the eye: a beautiful, vintage grand piano now sits elegantly in a corner, bathed in the soft glow of a newly installed spotlight. It feels both out of place and strangely fitting.

He\u2019s actually coming? I thought it was just a rumor!

(Taking a sip of her drink)
He\u2019s coming. After all the buzz about the piano, word got around. An old acquaintance of Papa Rossi\u2019s from way back. Said he had a \u2018score to settle\u2019 with this place. Whatever that means.
Just then, the main door swings open, and a figure steps in. It\u2019s an older man, perhaps in his late 60s, dressed simply in a dark suit, carrying a worn leather case. He has kind, deep-set eyes but an air of profound weariness about him. He doesn\u2019t look like a typical performer; more like someone carrying the weight of years. This is THE PIANO MAN.
He doesn\u2019t immediately go to the piano. Instead, his gaze sweeps around the bustling club, much like the Mysterious Figure from last season. But where the previous man\u2019s gaze was cold and assessing, The Piano Man\u2019s is filled with a mixture of nostalgia, sadness, and a hint of something else\u2026 an unresolved memory.
He stops, his eyes landing on the framed newspaper clippings near the entrance \u2013 the very ones the Mysterious Figure had touched. His brow furrows slightly.
Ava, Leo, and Isabella watch him, intrigued. Marco, surprisingly, is also captivated by his presence.
The Piano Man finally approaches the grand piano. He carefully sets down his case, opens the lid, and slowly runs his fingers over the keys, a ghost of a touch. He closes his eyes for a moment, takes a deep breath, and then sits down.
The club, still loud, seems to subtly shift. People at nearby tables turn their heads, curious.
He places his hands on the keys, pauses, and then, with a hesitant grace, begins to play.
It\u2019s not a lively jazz tune or a classical piece. It\u2019s a melancholy, haunting melody, familiar yet distant, like a half-remembered dream. The notes hang in the air, weaving through the chatter, slowly, imperceptibly, drawing the attention of everyone in the room.
The laughter dims. Conversations quiet. The clinking of glasses becomes less pronounced. Even the usually boisterous sports fans turn their heads towards the piano.
Ava feels a chill run down her spine. The music is beautiful, but it carries a weight, a story. It feels like the soul of the club is being laid bare, revealing secrets no one knew existed.
The Piano Man continues to play, his eyes now open, looking out at the mesmerized crowd, a profound sadness in their depths. As the final, lingering note fades into the sudden, astonished silence of The City Press Club, a single tear rolls down his cheek.
